Insults were traded between Assistant Corporation Counsel Michelle Kelson and various parties at the Zoning Board of Appeals Tuesday night. After a comparatively calm approval for Bill Kaplan’s condos project to get an extension for another year, the next application, for 397 Grand Street, drew heated protests. At issue was whether the ZBA was re-hearing the application that had been denied, as well as whether a special meeting was proper or not.
In the end, the board denied 397 Grand a variance, 6-0, for a second time.
