On August 27, 2008, the Newburgh Waterfront Advisory Committee discussed at their regular meeting concerns about Browns Pond. The Town Board of New Windsor is considering proposed zoning which would permit high density housing to be built on watershed lands for this City of Newburgh reservoir.
