The Newburgh Advocate seeks to encourage greater public participation in the democratic process. When individuals are discouraged or intimidated from participating and expressing their constitutionally protected freedom of speech, we must, as citizens of the United States of America, let alone as human beings of conscience, act swiftly and without hesitation.
